I think we can all agree that 2015 sure came around fast, and what a better way than to celebrate the New year, with a new look?

Short & Blonde

More woman are experiencing with shorter hairstyles and we love it! Going from long to short is a huge step for some woman - especially if they have been growing it for years but it's a change that you can have almost instantly. Besides - hair grows back so it's exciting to try something different every once in a while! 

If you've been colouring your hair dark for years and are wanting a dramtic change from dark - blonde but are scared of damage and want the trasnition from dark to light to be faster, short hair is definitely an easier option! Less hair means less to work with, and because the lightning process can be damaging - cutting off a decent amount after lightning is the key to healthy hair, regular trims is definitely important - especially if your hair is lightened or naturally dry.

The art of Blow Waving

To add on to excitment of short hair, there are so many ways you can style it! If you think short hair means, one style all the time - think again! 

There are so many different ways to wear short hair, as there are with long. One of the most popular trends for woman with short hair is shorter underneath and longer on top. This gives you enough length to be able to wear elegant waves or curls, or even mohwak it if you're into that! Fingerwaves and pin curls are coming more and more back into fashion too, but there is HEAPS more you can do with a Hair dryer and a brush than you can with a pair of straightners believe it or not.

The Transiton / Windswept look

If you are thinking about getting rid of a bit of length but still are unsure how you feel about the change or don't want it to be too much of a dramtic change, the above image is a perfect example of two completely different hairstyles that could both easilly be done on the same person. The right image is a textured hairstyle that is a good starting point to shorter hair if your hair is reasonably long and want a restyle but don't want to commit to the full change. The left image is another approach of a shorter hairstyle that can easilly be done later (or straight away) if you wanted then to go even shorter again.

A Splash of colour

Simple changes are just at nice and dramatic changes. All it takes is a slice of a different colour that can brighten up your whole look 

Embrace the Curls

If you have naturally curly hair, 2015 is the year to embrace the curl! Put down the straightners and pick up the volumizing product and let those girls go wild. Curls are so much fun and can also completely change your look if you have been straightening them out for a long time. A different approach

This post is for all the ladies with long hair. If you have something formal coming up - Eg. A wedding, prom, event etc and are stuck on what to do with your hair and want something a bit different than everybody else, Avant Garde Hairs is a big trend at the moment, a bit more complex than a top knot or curls, but if you want to make a big impression and stand out, your hair is your number one advantage.
